The texture of traditional songs and dances is interwoven with the beautiful lyrical Spanish-language extracts from writings by Federico García Lorca.
Flamenco came to existence out of the simple needs and attendances of life. One has to sing and dance about birth, death, love, fear, loss, the difficulty of change. In song and dance you can join forces with your mates, yet tell stories alone about joy and pain alike.
The guitarist featuring the evening will be Krisztián Rőthy, a musician and music producer living and working in Granada for almost a decade and a half. The songs and poems in Spanish will be cited by Rocío Granados from Granada. The traditional trio of flamenco is completed by flamenco dancer Petra Böröcz. Anikó Bózsa will be in charge of the rhythm defining the genre, i.e. compás. The show based on the improvisational traditions of flamenco features the meeting of the four of them.
